Captain Guest belonged to the New Jersey militia and captured Lt.-Col. J. G. Simcoe, of the Queen’s Rangers, Oct. 26, 1779. This incident is described in his journal, which, however, begins 16 March, 1784. He removed to Cincinnati in 1817.
