At Mineral Peak, during June and July, 1877, the thermometer repeatedly reached 100 deg. August 8th to 13th, 1877, 30 miles below Sunset Crossing, on the Colorado Chiquito, the thermometer stood, at sunrise, 62 to 64 deg.; at 2 P. M. 82 to 85 deg.; at sunset, 71 to 75 deg.--3,700 feet above sea level.
