(_5_) ANNUAL OUTPUT OF BOOKS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. _Books in 1925._ According to the “Publishers’ Circular” more books were published during _1925_ than in any previous year in the history of British book production. A total of _13,202_ is recorded as having been published in the United Kingdom. This is an increase of _496_ over the total for _1924_. The decreases are General Works (_49_), Fine Arts (_44_), Fiction (_32_), Philosophy (_29_), and Poetry and Drama (_16_).
