T. _The volume_ Remarques de Pierre Motteux sur Rabelais _is no doubt a translation of the notes which Motteux inserted in the English version, of which the first three books were translated by Urquhart, the other two by himself. They are supposed not only to increase the sensitiveness of the paper, but to add to its keeping qualities.
