Bible. Gospels -- Harmonies, English
6 On another Sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught, and a
man was there whose right hand was withered. 7 The scribes and the
Pharisees watched him closely, to see whether he would heal on the
Sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he
knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand,
"Rise and stand here." And he rose and stood there. 9 Then Jesus said
to them, "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to
do evil, to save life or to destroy it?" 10 And he looked around at
them all, and said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and
his hand was restored.
39.10 A Hostile Council of Pharisees - Jesus Withdraws
MT 12:14-21
14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, how they
might destroy him.
15 Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed
him, and he healed them all, 16 and ordered them not to make him known.
17 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:
18 "Behold, my servant whom I have chosen,
my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased!
I will put my Spirit upon him,
and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.
19 He will not quarrel or cry out;
nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not quench,
till he sends forth justice to victory;
21 and in his name will the Gentiles hope."
MK 3:6-12
6 Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the
Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great
multitude from Galilee followed; also from Judea 8 and Jerusalem and
Idumea and beyond the Jordan and from around Tyre and Sidon, a great
multitude, when they heard how many things he was doing, came to him. 9
And he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him because of
the crowd, lest they should crush him. 10 For he had healed many, so
that all who had diseases pressed upon him to touch him. 11 And
whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and
cried out, "You are the Son of God." 12 But he strictly ordered them
not to make him known.
LK 6:11
11 But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another
what they might do to Jesus.
