It is not worth while noting those that bloom from May to September, for there are hundreds of good bee-flowers in these months. In _October_: Borage, Echium, Sunflowers, _Lycium europæum_, _Malope grandiflora_, Catmint, Tobacco, Ocimum, Origanum, _Phacelia tanacetifolia_, and others. Most of these last into November.[31] In December and January very few plants are in bloom. The following have been noted at Edinburgh Botanical Gardens: _Dondia epipactis_, _Tussilago fragrans_, Snowdrop, _Geum aureum_, Hepatica, _Primula acaulis_, _P. veris_, _Aubrietia deltoidea_, _Crocus imperati_, _C. suaveolens_, _Erica herbacea alba_, Helleborus (3 species), _Polygala chamaebuxus_, _Andromeda floribunda_; also Sir H. Maxwell[32] mentions _Azara integrifolia_, _Hamamelis_ _arborea_, and _Chimonanthus fragrans_.
