ELECTION, DECREES, AND FREE-WILL. 1. ELECTION. "To elect is to designate or select."--_Webster._ There are three kinds of election spoken of in the Scriptures: (1.) _That of individuals to perform some special service, or to fill some particular office._ _As Cyrus to rebuild the Temple at Jerusalem._ EZRA I, 1.
