THE POWER OF PRAYER. MATT. XVIII, 19. Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. MATT. XXI, 22. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer believing, ye shall receive. JAMES V, 15. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. JOHN XV, 7. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. JOHN XVI, 23. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. JOHN XIV, 13. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. JOHN III, 5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water, and of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. 6. That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. 7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10. Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? PSALM CXLV, 19. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
