In the copies of Vol. I. which were issued in 1846, this supplement is included sometimes with and sometimes without a separate title-page. A few copies of Vol. II. were printed on one side only on thick paper. Mr. Rich was well known in the bibliographical world for his collection of rare books relating to Spain and America, and his _Bibliotheca Americana_ is a work of great labor and research, and of real service to the student of history.
