A Book of Dartmoor: Second Edition

Dartmoor (England)
THE STANDARD LIBRARY is a new series of volumes containing the
great classics of the world, and particularly the finest works of
English literature. All the great masters will be represented,
either in complete works or in selections. It is the ambition of
the publishers to place the best books of the Anglo-Saxon race
within the reach of every reader, so that the series may represent
something of the diversity and splendour of our English tongue. The
characteristics of THE STANDARD LIBRARY are four:--1. SOUNDNESS OF
TEXT. 2. CHEAPNESS. 3. CLEARNESS OF TYPE. 4. SIMPLICITY. The books
are well printed on good paper at a price which on the whole is
without parallel in the history of publishing. Each volume contains
from 100 to 250 pages, and is issued in paper covers, Crown 8vo, at
Sixpence net, or in cloth gilt at One Shilling net. In a few cases
long books are issued as Double Volumes or as Treble Volumes.
