Σπεκουλάτωρ, ορος, ὁ, (Lat. speculator )
a sentinel, life-guardman, a kind of soldiers who formed
the body-guard of princes, &c., one of whose duties was
to put criminals to death, Mar. 6.27.

mid. to make a libation of one's self by expending
energy and life in the service of the gospel, Phi. 2.17;
