Another imaginative Socialist would make the abolition of all existing languages part of his educational scheme: "Socialism will steadfastly aim at the adoption of a universal language, be it English or volapuk. All the modern languages--and for the matter of that, the ancient also--are but jungles of verbiage which retard, rather than facilitate, human thought and progress.
