USEFUL DRUGS
A descriptive list of selected drugs, which has been prepared under the
direction and supervision of the Council on Pharmacy and Chemistry of
the American Medical Association.
This list was compiled for the purpose of aiding the movement toward the
elimination of the mass of useless or superfluous drugs now in books on
materia medica. It is particularly fitted to serve as a text for
teachers of materia medica and therapeutics.
Many state medical examining boards are limiting their examinations on
therapeutics to this list of drugs.
In this book the properties--pharmacologic action, therapeutic uses and
dosage, and methods of administration--are briefly but practically
discussed.
Cloth, flexible cover, 4-1/2 by 7-1/2 inches, 176 pages. Price,
postpaid, 60 cents.
