Don Luis and his wife are seated at a round table; their two children
near them. A hairdresser is powdering the lady’s hair; she wears a
dressing-gown. Members of the household are present, and Goya himself is
represented with his palette and brushes in hand. Heavy curtains in
crimson and blue velvet form the background.
