first-story studs and resting the feet of the second-story studs
thereon.

The price of the framing is based on the following cost of 1,000 feet
board measure of hemlock, which includes framing.

Nails and spikes, allowing 100 lb. to 3,000 ft.
of lumber, at $2 per 100 pounds .67
