This is a government formula, and desirable for use where soft coal is burned for fuel. It should be mixed thoroughly in a suitable vessel, and allowed to stand for a day, before using. Add alcohol if it is too thick. Apply with a brush after the floors have been cleaned, and keep room vacant eighteen hours to allow time for drying. Another formula that is used in some hospitals is: Paraffine melted, 6 ounces; turpentine, 1 gallon, thoroughly mix and add soft soap, 4 ounces. Mix well and let it stand 24 hours.
