This Is the life story of a horse; how he was ill treated and well cared for. The experiences of Black Beauty, Ginger, and Merrylegs are extremely interesting. Wherever children are, whether boys or girls, this Autobiography should be. It inculcates habits of kindness to all members of the animal creation. The literary merit of the book is excellent.
