| | |all well built. Inhabited by
| | |different tribes: Jaalin (few)
| | |Hawazma, Rufaa. One well supplies
| | |whole village, 72 feet deep and
| | |about 6 feet wide, very good water
| | |in it. Said never to run dry. Few
| | |cattle and sheep and other
| | |supplies. Like all other places
| | |between this and Gedaref it was
| | |laid waste by Ahmed Fedil on his
| | |march to join the Khalifa.

| | |From Hafar track runs W. over
| | |cotton soil, is clearly marked.
| | |Clumps of trees and bushes in
| | |places.
