| _The following Prayer may be said at Morning Prayer, for the_ | _King, the Royal Family, the Ministers of the Crown, the_ | _Parliament_ (_when in session_), _and those in authority,_ | _instead of the Prayers_ For the King's Majesty, For the Royal | Family, _and_ For the High Court of Parliament; _but always_ | _either the following Prayer, or those above noted, shall be_ | _used, together with the_ Prayer for the Clergy and People, | _the_ Prayer of St Chrysostom, _and_ the Grace, _unless the_ | _Litany be said_. | | O Lord God of our fathers, who rulest the nations of the earth; | Most heartily we beseech thee with thy favour to behold our | Sovereign Lord, King _GEORGE_, that he may alway incline to thy | will and walk in thy way; and together with him bless our | gracious Queen _Mary_, _Alexandra_ the Queen Mother, _Edward_ | Prince of Wales, and all the Royal Family. Grant this, O Lord, for the honour of our Advocate and Mediator, Jesus Christ. _Amen_. _A Prayer of Saint Chrysostom_. Almighty God, who hast given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplications unto thee; and dost promise that when two or three are gathered together in thy Name thou wilt grant their requests: Fulfil now, O Lord, the desires and petitions of thy servants, as may be most expedient for them; granting us in this world knowledge of thy truth, and in the world to come life everlasting. _Amen_. 2 _Corinthians_ xiii. THE ORDER FOR EVENING PRAYER DAILY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR _At the beginning of Evening Prayer the Minister shall read with a loud voice some one or more of these Sentences of the Scriptures that follow. And then he shall say that which is written after the said Sentences_. When the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. _Ezek_. xviii. 27.
