over them without knowing it."
45 One of the lawyers answered him, "Teacher, by saying these
things you reproach us also." 46 And he said, "Woe to you also, lawyers!
For you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not
touch the burdens with one of your fingers. 47 Woe to you! For you build
the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. 48 So you
witness that you approve of the deeds of your fathers; for they killed
them, and you build their tombs. 49 Therefore the wisdom of God also
said, 'I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill
and persecute,' 50 that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from
the foundation of the world may be required of this generation, 51 from
the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the
altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it shall be required of this
generation. 52 Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of
knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and you hindered those who

the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the housetops.

two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Indeed, the
very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value
than many sparrows.
8 "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of
Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. 9 But he who
denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God. 10 And
everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but
he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. 11 Now
when they bring you before the synagogues and rulers and authorities, do
not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you are to say;
12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to
say."
13 Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother
to divide the inheritance with me." 14 But he said to him, "Man, who
made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?" 15 And he said to them,
