Certainly in the United States there is nothing comparable to it. At the commencement of the present century, when the Medical School of Philadelphia had been in operation about forty years, it did not number more, we believe, than 200 pupils. It now contains about 400--rumor says a few more. In _thirty-three_ years, then, that school has added about 200 to its classes, while _in less than half that time_ the school of Transylvania has _formed_ a class of 262.
