J., and was graduated from De La Salle Institute, New York City. He started in the iron pipe business in 1879, and in 1887 organized, as senior partner, the firm of M. J. Drummond & Company, which has since been incorporated and is one of the most successful iron pipe concerns in the United States. Mr. Drummond has been prominent in the charitable, social and business life of New York for a generation. He is president of M. J. Drummond & Company, of the Shawmut Clay Manufacturing Company, of the Glamorgan Iron Works, of the Nassau County Water Company, and of the Green Island Water Company. As well as being a director of this company, he is a director, of the Nassau Union Bank and a trustee and member of the Executive Board of the Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank and the Broadway Trust Company, and he holds membership in the Chamber of Commerce, the New York Athletic Club, the Hardware Club, and the Catholic Club, and was recently president of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. =Duffy, P.
