Specimens from Tamaulipas are assigned to the subspecies _interrupta_ following Van Gelder (1959:270-279). The two specimens from Jaumave are young; they were taken on different nights but in the same place. Weights of male and female, respectively, are 195 and 290 grams. The specimens herein assigned to this species, represented by the skull only, differ conspicuously from those assigned to _C. leuconotus_ only in breadth of M1.
