  and White Rose." Also in various combinations, "A Maltese Cross
  surmounted by a Crown; a White Stag (the municipal arms of Derby)
  within a Wreath."

  NICKNAME.--"The Old Stubborns" (of the 45th Foot, during the
  Peninsular Campaigns).
