It bore the Cross of St. Patrick till 1695. It received its Title, Badge of “The Lion of Nassau,” with the motto “Virtutis Namurcensis Præmium,” for its storming the Castle of Namur, 1695. It also bears “The Harp and Crown,” “The Dragon” for its services in China, 1840 to 1842, and “The Sphinx” for Egypt, 1801. NINETEENTH FOOT.
