Nafanua

Nafanua was a historical aliʻi and toa (warrior) of Samoa from the Sā Tonumaipeʻa clan, who secured the four pāpā (district) titles, the leading aliʻi titles of Samoa, to become the first Tafaʻifa. Following her death, she was deified as the goddess of war within Polynesian religion.
