If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. JOB VIII, 3. Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice? The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. PSALM LVII, 10. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. HEB. VI, 18. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. DEUT. VII, 9. Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; 10. And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. 2 TIM. II, 13. If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he can not deny himself.
