Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom. 5. BENEFITS OF THE DEATH OF CHRIST. (1.) _Justification._ 1 COR. VI, 11. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ACTS XIII, 39. And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. ROM. III, 24. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. ROM. VIII, 1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. ROM. VIII, 33. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth: 34. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. JOHN X, 9.
