COL. I, 21. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled, 22. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. ROM. III, 26. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay, but by the law of faith. 28. Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. ISAIAH LIII, 11. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 1 JOHN V, 13. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (2.) _Regeneration._ GAL. II, 20. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. GAL. V, 24. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. GAL. VI, 15. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 2 COR. V, 17.
