Height, 1 foot; width, 1 foot 5 inches. [Sidenote: 2.] Fragment of the head of an ox, including the forehead and eyes. Apparently the head is seen in three-quarter face to the left, as in the preceding. Height, 10-1/2 inches; width, 1 foot 6 inches. [Sidenote: 3.] Fragment with part of the flank of an ox (?), springing from a square base. Two horns intertwined (?) in relief on the side of the fragment. If the explanation offered is correct, the animal must have been part of an architectural member, such as occurs in the temple of Hera at Samos (Stuart, 2nd ed., vol. iv., Kinnard on Delos, pl. v.), or in the recently discovered bull's-head capital from Salamis, in Cyprus (_Journ. of Hellen. Studies_, xii., p. 134). Height, 1 foot 2-1/2 inches.
