Supreme Court Holmes and Brandeis said in their minority opinion on this case: “These defendants had as much right to circulate these leaflets as the U. S. Government has to circulate the Constitution.” And yet the majority of the U.S. Supreme Court has just doomed these defendants to long terms in prison.
