341. And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee, _thou shalt smite them and utterly destroy them_; thou shalt make no covenant with them, _nor shew mercy unto them_. Deut. vii. 2. 342. The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, _and will not at all acquit the wicked_; the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind, and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
