Southwark Surrey. Cookham Berkshire. Athenry Co. Galway. Some of these sheaths are elaborately ornamented, more especially the specimens from Hunsbury, Lisnacroghera, and the River Witham. The shape of the sheaths was evidently derived from a foreign source, as may be seen by comparing those found in Great Britain with the examples from Hallstatt and La Tène.
