SPECIFIC CHARACTER. HEATH, with crested tips within the blossom, blossoms pitcher-shaped headed terminal and lateral, leaves in threes and ciliated. DESCRIPTION. STEM shrubby, branched; the branches obscurely whorled, slender, flexuose, with a rusty brown bark. LEAVES in threes, upright, broad-linear, blunt, near three lines long, minutely ciliated, and furrowed beneath. FLOWERS small, chiefly in threes, in terminal and lateral bunches. EMPALEMENT double, coloured, pressed to the blossom, with the leaflets wedge-egg-shaped, and imbricated on the blossom. BLOSSOM pitcher-shaped, upwards rose-coloured, with slightly spreading segments. CHIVES eight flat threads; tips bearded, without the blossom. POINTAL.
