(Public Laws, Extra Session, 1913) AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA. _The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact_: SECTION 1. That the Constitution of the State of North Carolina be and the same is hereby amended in manner and form as follows: [Sidenote: Substituting words "war between the States" for the words "insurrection or rebellion against the United States."] I. By striking out of article one, section six, the words "insurrection or rebellion against the United States," and inserting to lieu thereof the following words: "the War Between the States," and by striking out the word "rebellion" in section thirteen of article seven and inserting in lieu thereof the words "War Between the States."
