My Dear Sir:--In reply to your inquiry relative to the benefits derived by our men from the use of your Wear, I beg to state that I have yet to learn of a single case of illness due to exposure of any man who has worn these garments. They were introduced into this Department about three years ago, and quite generally adopted by our men. As I have said, our records do not show that a man was obliged to go off duty during any cold months of the year on account of sickness. I know of several who did not get the Wear who were ill, and purchased it later on account of the good words said of it by their comrades.
