Preceding this, Mr. Merry wrote a friend in Dubuque, dated _Manchester, Ia._, Dec. 1, 1886. Going home yesterday to dinner, I found awaiting me a suit of underwear, and I was not very long in putting myself inside of them, but with no idea that I could wear them, having tried almost everything that contained wool, but never having found a garment I could wear next to my skin containing a particle of wool.
