_Remarks._—My specimens have less white on the lower wings than is represented in Mr. Westwood’s figure. The female is of a brownish colour, with the same white markings as the male, but without any blue tinge. This species is very like _Euplœa Rhadamanthus_, one of the most common butterflies in all the above-mentioned localities. They both resemble dark species of _Euplœa_. _P. Slateri_ is a quite distinct species from North India, to which Mr. Hewitson referred the present species as the female. It is also widely separated geographically from that species, which inhabits the continent of India only. The sexes are alike, as they are in _P. dissimilis_. _P.
