BELIEVEST thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself, but the *Father that dwelleth in me*, He doeth the works. _John 14:10._ BELIEVE me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. _John 14:11._ AND whatsoever ye shall ask in *my name, that will I do*, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. _John 14:13._ Excuses. *I am a MEMBER of the church.* Church membership *alone does not save any one*. Jesus made this act very plain that there must be more than a cold profession of religion. *NOT every one that saith unto me, Lord*, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; *but he that doeth the will of my Father* which is in heaven. _Matthew 7:21._ *MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord*, have we not *prophesied in thy name*? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? and then will I profess unto them, *I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity*. _Matthew 7:22-23._ THEREFORE whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, *and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock*. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; and *it fell*: and *great was the fall of it*. _Matthew 7:24-27._ The great question is, *Have I been born of God*, and am I *showing by my life* that I am a child of God? JESUS answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, *except a man be BORN AGAIN, he* cannot see the kingdom of God. _John 3:3._ Excuses. *I am GOOD ENOUGH.* You may *think* you are, but *God does not*. He says you are a sinner! *FOR all have sinned*, and come short of the glory of God. _Romans 3:23._ AS it is written, *There is none* righteous, no, *not one*. _Romans 3:10._ FOR there is *not a just man upon earth*, that doeth good, and sinneth not. _Ecclesiastes 7:20._
