From these institutions comes the demand for a text-book on the Anatomy of the Domestic Fowl. No complete text-book on the subject, up to the present, has existed. It is with the hope of meeting the demand that this book is published. In supplementing the information gathered from the books and articles listed in the bibliography, the author has spent much time and effort in obtaining the matter here presented. As this, however, is the initial complete text on the subject necessarily much remains to be added and corrected.
