On the right bank, | | | | |nearly opposite, are a | | | | |number of ruined stone | | | | |houses arranged in streets, | | | | |and covering 3 to 4 acres. | | | | |They are built in stone and | | | | |mud, but a few arches in | | | | |lime are to be seen. The | | | | |ruins are evidently greatly | | | | |filled in and might possibly | | | | |repay excavation.
