Leaves in threes, awl-shaped, upright, of a glaucous green, and sharp-pointed, flat on their upper surface, and furrowed beneath. Footstalks short. Cup double, and pressed to the blossom. Blossom egg-shaped, inflated, large, and of a pale yellow colour: the segments of the border are erect, tapered, approaching, and blunt-ended. Leaves by threes, awl-shaped, recurved, three-sided, and smooth. Stem sturdy, a foot high, and very branching.
