Murray, secretary-general of the Society, assembled a loan collection of Irish-American memorials to be exhibited at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, St. Louis, Mo. A national supervisory committee was formed in connection with the project and included many members of the Society. The collection was placed on exhibition at St. Louis and attracted much attention.
