STATISTICS CONCERNING PRIMARY INSTRUCTION
According to the Manual del viajero, [154] published in 1877, there
are in all Filipinas, at the account of the State, 1,016 schools of
primary instruction for boys, and 592 for girls, 98,761 attending
the former, and 78,352 the latter, as follows:
