August 14 Kirkby and Dr. Tonge examined by the Earl of Danby. The king goes to Windsor. August 31 The forged letters sent to Bedingfield at Windsor. September 2 Tonge introduces Oates to Kirkby at his lodgings at Vauxhall. September 6 Oates swears to the truth of his information before Sir Edmund Berry Godfrey.
