John Shaqi

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْمَمْلُوكِ يَأْذَنُ لَهُ مَوْلَاهُ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَ مِنْ مَالِهِ الْجَارِيَةَ وَ الثِّنْتَيْنِ وَ الثَّلَاثَ وَ رَقِيقُهُ لَهُ حَلَالٌ قَالَ يَحُدُّ لَهُ حَدّاً لَا يُجَاوِزُهُ .


Translation

Humeyd Bin Ziyad, from Ibn Sama’at, from someone else, from Aban, from Is’haq Bin Ammar who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the owned slave whose master had permitted for him that he can buy from his wealth, the slave girl, and two and three, and his enslaved women would be Permissible for him’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He can place limits for him, which he cannot exceed’.
