نَظَرَ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَطُوفُونَ حَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ هَكَذَا كَانُوا يَطُوفُونَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِنَّمَا أُمِرُوا أَنْ يَطُوفُوا بِهَا ثُمَّ يَنْفِرُوا إِلَيْنَا فَيُعْلِمُونَا وَلَايَتَهُمْ وَ مَوَدَّتَهُمْ وَ يَعْرِضُوا عَلَيْنَا نُصْرَتَهُمْ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ .

علی بن ابراہیم، اپنے والد سے، ابن ابی عمیر سے، ابن اُذَینہ سے، الفضیل سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: اس نے لوگوں کو کعبہ کے گرد طواف کرتے دیکھا اور فرمایا: “وہ جاہلیت میں بھی اسی طرح طواف کیا کرتے تھے۔” انہیں صرف یہ حکم دیا گیا تھا کہ وہ اس کے گرد طواف کریں، پھر ہماری طرف روانہ ہوں، تاکہ وہ ہمیں اپنی ولایت، اپنی محبت، اور اپنی نصرت پیش کریں اور ہمیں اپنی حمایت سے آگاہ کریں۔ پھر اس نے یہ آیت تلاوت کی: “پس لوگوں کے دلوں کو ان کی طرف مائل کر دے۔”
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibn Azina, from Al Fuzayl, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘He<sup>asws</sup> looked at the people performing <span class="iTxt">Tawaaf</span> around the Kabah, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘This is how they used to circle around during the Pre-Islamic period. But rather, they have been Commanded that they should circle with it, then they should hasten towards us<sup>asws</sup> so they should let us<sup>asws</sup> know of their Wilayah and their cordiality, and they should present their help for us<sup>asws</sup>’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> recited this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:14#h37"><a href="/books/quran:14#h37">[14:37]</a></a> therefore make the hearts of some people yearn towards them</span>’.
