قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهَا فَقِيلَ فِيهَا فَقَالَ وَ أَنْتَ لِمَ سَأَلْتَ أَيْضاً لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمُ التَّفْتِيشُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya,from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Umar Bin Hanzala who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘I married a woman, so I asked around about her, and it was said (certain things) about her’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘And you, why did you ask around about her as well? The investigation is not upon you’.
