لَا يُضَارَّ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ إِذَا طَلَّقَهَا فَيُضَيِّقَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَنْتَقِلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْقَضِيَ عِدَّتُهَا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَدْ نَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ وَ لا تُضآرُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The man must not harm his wife when he divorces her, so he (financially) straitens upon her until she moves before the fulfillment of her waiting period, for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic has Forbidden from that, so He<sup>azwj</sup> Said <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:65#h6"><a href="/books/quran:65#h6">[65:6]</a></a> and do not injure them in order that you may straiten them</span>’.
