سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَمِنْكُمْ كافِرٌ وَ مِنْكُمْ مُؤْمِنٌ فَقَالَ عَرَفَ اللَّهُ إِيمَانَهُمْ بِوَلَايَتِنَا وَ كُفْرَهُمْ بِهَا يَوْمَ أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمِيثَاقَ فِي صُلْبِ آدَمَ ( عليه السلام ) وَ هُمْ ذَرٌّ .

میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ عزوجل کے اس قول کے بارے میں پوچھا: پس تم میں سے کوئی کافر ہے اور تم میں سے کوئی مومن۔ تو انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: اللہ نے ہماری ولایت کے ذریعے ان کے ایمان کو اور اس کے ذریعے ان کے کفر کو اس دن جان لیا جب اس نے آدم علیہ السلام کی پشت میں ان سے عہد لیا، جبکہ وہ ذرّ تھے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Al Husayn Bin Nuaym Al Sahhaf who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:64#h2"><a href="/books/quran:64#h2">[64:2]</a></a> He it is Who Created you, so among you is an unbeliever and among you is a Believer</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Recognised their <span class="iTxt">Eman</span> by our<sup>asws</sup> Wilayah and their disbelief in it on the day He<sup>azwj</sup> Took the Covenant upon them in ‘صُلْبِ’ the forehead of Adam<sup>as</sup>, and they were particles’.
